DiskSlicer is a highly-useful utility that gives you an overall feel for where your disk space is being taken up. Even with the enormous increase in hard drive capacities and a corresponding drop in prices, it is still easy to fill up all available space with your photos, music, videos, documents, old games, temporary files, installation files, and who-knows-what-else.
DiskSlicer helps by displaying the relative disk usage by folder in a pie, bar, or report format. I have used it myself to locate old, large, and unused files on my drives.
Features of DiskSlicer:
- Interactive disk scans! You don’t have to wait until scan is complete before you can begin analyzing data.
- Four different views of data: Pie, 3-D Pie, Bar, and Report view. Each gives you a different perspective on your data.
- Ease-of-use: just click on a folder in the folder list, or double-click in the main view to jump into a subfolder.
- Show or hide free space in reports.
- Save scan data for later analysis. Saves to XML format for easy third-party parsing.
- Copy all views to the clipboard for inclusion in other documents.
- Get closer to your data with multiple zoom levels.
- Portable! No install necessary. Just a single .exe file to run anywhere.
- Free for personal use!
- New in Version 1.2: Delete directly from program via right-click!
